Conditions

Icon Conditions allow you to verify if specific criteria are met during the Experience Icon Experience and trigger actions accordingly. They function as "IF-THEN" statements:

  • IF a particular action or state occurs (e.g., a Variable Icon Variable equals a certain value, an input button is released, a FaceExpression is maintained)
  • THEN Icon Responses are triggered

This structure enables precise control over the dynamics within your Experience Icon Experience.

There are five different Icon Conditions in Labo. They can be added to all Objects (e.g., Interactive Icon Interactives, Screen Icon Screens, Event Icon Events, Hand Expression Icon Hand Expressions) and their Elements (e.g., Screen Element Icon Screen Elements, Interactors).

Each Object or Element has its own Condition List, allowing you to mix different Icon Condition types or repeat the same type multiple times. The Icon Conditions in the Condition List are evaluated from top to bottom.
Variable Condition

Variable Condition

Icon Variable Conditions allow you to check the value of a Variable Icon Variable and trigger Icon Responses accordingly. For example, triggering Icon Responses if the value of an Integer Variable Icon Integer Variable is equal to 5 or if a String Variable Icon String Variable contains a specific word.
