Facial Expressions allow you to record any facial movements (e.g., smile, wink, raised eyebrows, or any other facial pose) and store them within your Experience. These Expressions are recorded using the internal cameras on the Extended Reality (XR) headset and compatible face tracking accessories (check out this table to see if your headset supports face tracking).

Once a Facial Expression is recorded, you can set up dynamics for when the participant reproduces the Facial Expression. For example, if you are conducting a fear conditioning task, you could associate the participant "closing their eyes" as an emotional response to fear. You could record a Facial Expression while closing your eyes and then create an Expression Condition to add 1 to a 'EyesClosed' Integer Variable, tracking the number of times the participant closed their eyes.
