Outlets allow you to create custom streams to send data from your 
Experience out to the Lab Streaming Layer (LSL) network. They are useful to send markers to your biosensor data to contextualize it based on Experience events and data. As Outlets appear on the LSL network, they will be visible on your outputted .xdf biosensor data file as individual streams. Any indicative event you want to mark on your biosensor data (e.g., a stimulus is displayed, a participant grabs an object, or audio is triggered) can then be reflected by a change on the Outlet stream.How Does It Work?
When creating an Outlet, you'll have to reference a 
Variable. It is the Variable's value that is streamed out and any update to that value during the Experience will be reflected on the biosensor data.
Outlet and reference an 
Float Variable. Each time an event occurs in the Experience you want to mark, you can update the Variable's value using a 
Variable Response (e.g., adding/subtracting 1). When analyzing your biosensor data post-experience, you will see an entry for the Labo outlet on the .xdf file, showing all updates to the Variable throughout the Experience. You now have individual markers for your Experience events on your biosensor data!How Can I Create an Outlet?
You can create Outlets from the Experience Dashboard, where you'll be able to enter the name of the stream you want to create as well as the Variable you want to reference.
