Image Assets

When creating your Experience, you might want to include images, for example, to display a custom infographic on a Screen, or to add an Interactive image that participants can grab and move around within the environment.

Supported File Types	File Extensions	Description
PNG	.png	PNG (Portable Network Graphics) is a lossless image file format designed for high-quality image storage, supporting transparency and compression without reducing image quality.
JPEG	.jpeg	JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) is a widely used image format that compresses images using lossy compression, reducing file sizes while maintaining decent quality. Image quality may be slightly reduced, so if sharp details are required, using PNG files in LABO.
Bitmap	.bmp	The BMP (Bitmap) file format is a raster graphics image format used to store bitmap digital images, with or without compression. As BMP file sizes are larger, PNG and JPEG files are more often used in LABO.
TIFF or TIF	.tif	TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) is a versatile image file format used for storing high-quality raster graphics, supporting both lossless and lossy compression. As TIF file sizes are larger, PNG and JPEG files are more often used in LABO.
Truevision TGA or TARGA	.tga	TGA (Truevision Graphics Adapter) is a raster graphics file format created in 1984 that supports multiple colour depths, including true color. As TGA file sizes are larger, PNG and JPEG files are more often used in LABO.
Photoshop	.psd	Photoshop's native file format is PSD (Photoshop Document), which supports layers, transparency, masks, and a wide range of image data, making it ideal for complex editing. As PSD file sizes are larger, PNG and JPEG files are more often used in LABO.
