Variable Data
automatically captures all updates to
Variables during the
Experience. The data collected includes variable datatype, variable value, update value, modifier and more!
This data is outputted to a unique comma-separated values (CSV) file: VariablesData.csv
. However, it might be challenging to understand what each data column tracks by simply looking at the raw data. We’ve created an explanation table below to make the data more understandable. This table provides information on each column in the CSV file, including the type of data it contains, the data format, an example, and a description of what each column is tracking.
Data Sample
The examples provided for each data column are based on entries from the VariablesData.csv
file for an N-Back task. Each example reflects the data recorded specifically when a participant submits an answer (e.g., giving a thumbs up). For a closer look, you can download a sample VariablesData.csv
file for the N-Back task by clicking the download button. The example entries are from row 31 of the data sample, which marks the point where the participant first submits an answer.
